Straubenhardt, June 30, 2016 - The robust Future subrack series from POLYRACK TECH-GROUP can be individually adapted. It is designed for different shielding concepts and areas of application in harsh environments such as railroad technology.

POLYRACK has developed its Future subracks to be particularly robust for applications in demanding environments. Thanks to the double bolting of the stable profiles and the toxed version of the side walls, the Future series meets the requirements for a "vibration-resistant" product and thus qualifies for use by Deutsche Bahn (according to LES-DB) and the French railroad system (NF-F).

Depending on the requirements profile, a wide variety of configurations can be put together with the standard parts of the Future series. The basic structures differ in vibration resistance and shielding concept: In the "EMC spring" shielding concept, the corner brackets have a groove for clipping in spring elements; in the "EMC seal" concept, they have a leg for gluing in a CuNi coated fabric. POLYRACK also offers an IEEE 1101.1/IEEE 1101.10 compatible version with front profiles and grid perforation. Combinations of form-fitted toxed and double-bolted side panel corner brackets and side panel end panels ensure a robust structure. The profile positioning in 10mm increments also allows dual expansion.

Further variants can be individually assembled using the individual parts. An example of a customized design is a subrack based on the Future series, which POLYRACK successfully had certified according to EN 60068. With its weight of 10 kg, it can withstand shock loads of up to 5G and is thus suitable for use in environments with heavy mechanical stress, such as in railroad cars, power plant construction, mines or trucks. In addition to development and customization up to the finished product, POLYRACK also takes care of certification of the developers with accredited partners such as TÜV Rheinland.

Thanks to the securing of the heavy-duty rails with two screws each side as well as the tox-joined version of the side plates the series Future meets the requirements on a "vibration resistant" product and therefore corresponds for use at the Deutsche Bahn (according to LESDB) as well as the French railway system (NF-F).Depending on the demands various configurations can be combined with the standard parts of the series Future. The basic constructions are differing in vibration resistance and shielding concept. The shielding concept "spring" carries a groove for insertion in the mounting bracket while the concept "gasket" shows a detail for a self-adhesive strip in a CuNi coated fabric. POLYRACK also has a compatible version according to IEEE 1101.1/IEEE 1101.10 with front extrusions and ejector handle perforation in its product range. Combinations of positively tox-joined and with two screws secured side plate mounting brackets and side plate corner brackets ensure a robust construction. Due to the profile positioning in 10mm increments a dual construction is also possible.Further versions can be individually configured by single components. An example for a customer-specific solution is a subrack based on the Futureseries that was successfully certified according to EN 60068 by POLYRACK. With its weight of 10 kg it withstands shock loads up to 5G and is suitable for use in environments with strong mechanical load, such as in rail wagons, in power plants, in mines or lorries. Besides the development and customerspecific adaptations up to the complete product solution POLYRACK also provides the certification of the subracks with accredited partners, e.g. the TÜV Rheinland.

Successful ISO/TS 16949 certification

RAPP Kunststofftechnik certified according to ISO/TS 16949 Straubenhardt, May 10, 2016 - RAPP Kunststofftechnik GmbH, a company of POLYRACK TECH-GROUP, has successfully completed certification according to ISO/TS 16949. ISO/TS 16949 is the globally valid certification standard for quality management in the automotive industry.

"With this certification, we can now also officially prove our very high manufacturing level. This gives our customers the assurance that they will receive the quality and reliability they need from POLYRACK - both in terms of the products and with regard to all processes," explains Maximilian Schober, Head of Sales & Marketing at RAPP Kunststofftechnik.

The automotive industry is one of the growth markets for POLYRACK TECH-GROUP, and the company has been recording above-average growth in this sector for several years. Customer-specific housing and system solutions in the field of plastics technology and their finishing are in particularly high demand.

EmbedTEC enclosure series now as eNUC solution

Straubenhardt, April 13, 2016 - POLYRACK TECH-GROUP now offers a versatile enclosure solution for the eNUC form factor. It is based on the modular EmbedTEC series.

The EmbedTEC enclosure solution for the eNUC (embedded Next Unit of Computing) form factor consists of a visually appealing aluminum desktop enclosure (134 x 112 x 45mm). This features a front-mounted, replaceable I/O shield and a solid aluminum lid for heat dissipation. For higher performance, the lid can be replaced with a heatsink, alternatively perforated side panels or small fans can be used for higher cooling performance. The new eNUC enclosure solution from the EmbedTEC family can be used as a desktop enclosure as well as mounted via adapter to a wall, Vesa mount or in different orientation to a DIN rail.

Straubenhardt (Germany), April 25, 2016 - The POLYRACK TECH-GROUP now offers a multifunctional case solution for the form factor eNUC. It is based on the modular series EmbedTEC.

‍TheEmbedTEC enclosure solution for the form factor eNUC (embedded Next Unit of Computing) consists of a visually appealing aluminum table top case (134 x 112 x 45mm). It comes with a changeable front I/O shield as well as a massive aluminum cover for the heat dissipation. The cover might as well be replaced by a heat sink to get a higher performance. Alternatively, perforated side panels or small fans can be used for a higher cooling performance. This new eNUC enclosure solution of the EmbedTEC family can either be used as a table top case or can be mounted on the wall with an adaptor, a Vesa-mounting fixture or with a top-hat rail in different alignments.

The EmbedTEC enclosure series, consisting of a modular aluminum-based plateform (134 x 112 x 45mm), has been adapted for the eNUC (embedded Next Unit of Computing) dimensionnel. Cette nouvelle version reçoit un I/O-Shield échangeable en face avant, ainsi qu'un capot supérieur en aluminium pour améliorer la dissipation thermique. In order to be compatible with products with a higher operating power, the capot supérieur can easily be replaced by a thermal dissipator. Alternatively, the integration of ventilators in addition to the perforated lateral flanks makes it easy to optimize the air flow. This new eNUC solution, based on the EmbedTEC family, can be used either as a table-top cabinet or for wall mounting with a VESA adaptor or support. And thanks to its design, even Rail-Din type mounting is possible.

New CAD download on the POLYRACK homepage

Straubenhardt, February 18, 2016 - Within the new 3D download area, POLYRACK now offers its customers the possibility to download CAD data of all products directly from the homepage. This simplifies the implementation of projects and shortens the development time.

On its website, the enclosure specialist POLYRACK now offers free access to the CAD data of its products. In the new 3D download area, all models for the CAD design software SolidWorks are available. With the help of a free article search, the desired series can be found quickly and downloaded free of charge in 2D or 3D in various formats (IGES, DXF, STEP, etc.). This allows customers to integrate their selected housing or housing part directly into their design and use it for documentation purposes. In this way, POLYRACK supports its customers in significantly shortening their planning and coordination phase with the manufacturer and end customer. Individual system applications for different fields of application

Straubenhardt, December 11, 2015 - POLYRACK TECHGROUP will present its wide range of innovative housing and system solutions as well as panel PCs for HMI / MMI applications at embedded world 2016 (Feb. 23-25, Nuremberg) in Hall 5, Booth 180.

In addition to a wide range of application-specific system solutions, a highlight at the booth is the SmarTEC case series expanded as a passively cooled x86 mini PC. Thanks to variable expandability, it enables the realization of high-quality systems, combining accessibility from above with the advantages of a profile solution, such as stability and design optimized for assembly times. POLYRACK will also present various solutions for single board computing (SBC) based on the Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Odroid and Beagle Bone platforms.

The PanelPC 2 series is particularly suitable for industrial applications, also in the extended temperature range (-20°C to +85°C). The housing is available in "milled aluminum" and as a sheet metal bending solution in sizes from 10.1" to 21.5" up to protection class IP54 (IP68 in preparation). The multi-touch capable PCAP touchscreen can optionally be equipped with tempered glasses and/or anti-fingerprint coating.

A new product at the booth is the heavy-duty Rugged MIL ½ Short ATR Chassis according to ARINC 404A as a sheet metal bending variant. It offers electronic components protection against mechanical, climatic, chemical and electrical influences. With various backplanes according to VITA (VMEbus, VME64x, VPX, OpenVPX) or PICMG standard (CPCI, CPCI Serial, CPCI Plus I/O), power supplies and I/O connection cards, it can be configured to form a complete system.

POLYRACK presents housing and system solutions for specific applications

Straubenhardt, September 14, 2015 - POLYRACK TECH-GROUP will be presenting its wide range of individual housing and system solutions as well as panel PCs for HMI/MMI applications at SPS IPC Drives from November 24-26, 2015 (Hall 5, Stand 451).

POLYRACK's extensive product range includes both standard series and customer-specific solutions, ranging from integrated slide-in and desktop enclosures to panel PCs and backplanes to microcomputer surface-mount systems (MPS). Here, users will find the right individual solution for every area of application.

The Rugged MIL ½ Short ATR system is designed for harsh environments. The salt-bath soldered chassis meets the requirements of security and defense technology and offers electronic components comprehensive protection against mechanical, climatic, chemical and electrical influences. Thanks to passive "conductive cooling", heat loss is effectively dissipated from the components. The standard model is available in 13 sizes and variants according to the ARINC 404A standard, and the system can also be configured with CPCI, VME, VME-64X and VPX backplanes, as well as power supplies and I/O connection cards.

For the embedded sector, especially for industrial environments, POLYRACK presents the PanelPC 2 series. These panel PC solutions of protection class IP54 from 10.1'' to 21.5'' are available in different material variants from milled aluminum to sheet metal bending solutions. Resistive single-touch or multi-touch capacitive touchscreens (PCAP) in different glass thicknesses are available as user interfaces. Customized printing and anti-fingerprint coatings are available on request.

Further enclosure series such as SmarTEC for high-quality systems like passively cooled mini PCs, EmbedTEC for embedded computing and HMI applications as well as backplanes for the high-speed range with the VPX and CompactPCI Serial standards complete the portfolio of the enclosure specialist POLYRACK.
