VME64x is an upgrade of the VME64 standard and it permits 64 bit data transmission.
This means that a whole set of new features can be added to the VME, VME64 boards and to the backplanes and subracks. The new features include enhanced 160-pin P1/J1 and P2/J2 connections, optional 95-pin (2 mm hardmetric P0/J0 connection) for more user-defined I/O, +3.3V and additional performance.
