POLYRACK Aerospace GmbH, a company of POLYRACK TECH-GROUP, has been successfully certified by DEKRA in accordance with EN 9100 for quality management in the aerospace industry.


Safety, reliability and quality are top priorities in aerospace, whether in development or in production and maintenance. That is why comprehensive and seamless quality management along the entire supply chain is crucial. The POLYRACK Aerospace GmbH has now received this quality award according to EN 9100 from DEKRA after its foundation in 2020, which represents another milestone for the company in this market segment.

"We still see the aerospace industry as a future market, but one that entails very high requirements in terms of quality and risks. Now we can also prove to our customers the aerospace quality management requirements that we meet with an official certificate," says Managing Director Andreas Rapp.

POLYRACK launches new SMC3 system monitoring board on the market 2021

Straubenhardt, Germany, March 10, 2021 - POLYRACK is expanding its range of system accessories with the new SMC3 system monitoring board. The SMC3 represents a smart and compact system monitoring for CPCI-, VME- or VPX-based systems.



The new system monitoring board is a further development of the SMC2 system monitoring board and has been significantly improved in terms of functionality and usability. It is used in VME and CPCI systems, among others, where it intelligently controls the system fans thanks to intelligent control algorithms. It also ensures maximum cooling performance with minimum noise.

The SMC3 has a wide operating voltage range from 5 to 36VDC and five digital inputs and outputs (open collector). A special feature is the ability to monitor and control up to six fans divided into three groups. It also serves to monitor up to eight system voltages and up to eight temperatures, which is particularly essential for use in high-power systems.

To ensure the safety of a system, the monitoring board can perform an automatic shutdown of the system in case of overtemperature, the remote control functionality allows the system to be powered up and down via Ethernet. The SMC3 is optionally available with an LED or display to indicate the system status and allows easy commissioning through an intelligent self-learning mode.

Depending on the application and customer requirements, all control and monitoring parameters of the system monitoring board can be adapted.

With a size of just 80 x 75mm, the new board is less than half the size of its predecessor, the SMC2, and is mechanically compatible with its smaller sister, the SM2.To facilitate commissioning, software is available to the user that allows all parameters of the SMC3 to be flexibly adjusted.

Elle est utilisée entre autres dans les systèmes VME et CPCI et y régule intelligemment les ventilateurs du système grâce à des algorithmes de régulation intelligents. Elle assure en outre une puissance de refroidissement maximale avec un niveau de bruit minimal.

Le SMC3 dispose d'une large plage de tension de fonctionnement de 5 à 36 VDC ainsi que de cinq entrées et sorties numériques (collecteur ouvert). Une de ses particularités est sa capacité à surveiller et à réguler jusqu'à six ventilateurs répartis en trois groupes. En outre, il permet de surveiller jusqu'à huit tensions de système et jusqu'à huit températures, ce qui est essentiel pour les applications dans les systèmes à haute performance.

Pour garantir la sécurité d'un système, la carte de surveillance peut effectuer un arrêt automatique du système en cas de surchauffe, la fonctionnalité de contrôle à distance permet de montter et de descendre le système via Ethernet. Le SMC3 est disponible en option avec une LED ou un écran pour afficher l'état du système et permet une mise en service simple grâce à un mode d'auto-apprentissage intelligent.
